These images are the results of my attempts to recover accidentally deleted photos from my hard drive. The computer recovered these images, a mixture of lost photos and new data which were overwritten on them. This process formed a new memory through the layering of images from a different time and space. Digital photos transferred to negative film, developed on colour negative paper.

People take photos to remember the present, but when the documentation disappear does the memories fade too? Or what if these recordings get altered or distorted; does it change the memories too? This work raises questions concerning memory and recording and also blurs the boundary between digital and analogue.
